Four sessions comprising of the following:
Day One: Roles, duties & responsibilities, employment issues, CPD and PR and communication.
Day Two: The General Power of Competence, new legislation and sources of advice, agenda setting and meeting procedures, standing orders and committees and Freedom of information.
Day Three: Accounting and statutory guidance, budgeting, grant awarding policies, insurance, sources of advice on financial matters and VAT.
Day Four: The planning framework, effective observations on planning applications, partnership working, funding sources and community engagement.
