The six sessions make up the full training course and are designed to support your portfolio submission by instalment or at the end of the course.

CiLCA is a Level 3 qualification for local council Clerks and other officers, assessed through submission of an extensive portfolio of evidence. It is also a requirement for the purposes of the Local Council Award Scheme (Quality and Quality Gold) and eligibility for the council to use the general power of competence.

This training course will take you through each of the 30 learning outcomes. It will also explain how to compile your portfolio, involve your Council, and strengthen your knowledge as a practitioner.

For this year only, eligible Clerks across Norfolk will qualify for a 50% reduction in both our tuition/ support fees of £300 and the SLCC registration fees of £350. This will brings the cost down from £650 to £325. Non-members of the Norfolk Association may still qualify for a discount, but please contact us to discuss.

Delivered by an experienced Tutor from the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (www.iccm-uk.com) and hosted by Reepham Town Council.

A training workshop for those who have responsibility for inspection and the making safe of cemetery memorials. The day consists of a morning session dealing with the background, legislative/health and safety issues and all existing guidance available on this subject. The afternoon is a practical session based in the local cemetery. This is an ideal opportunity for those councils wishing to make progress with their memorial safety programme and the workshop will ensure that all the staff involved will be suitably trained and competent in the work they are asked to carry out. Certificates of attendance will be issued following the course.
