NCC Savings Proposals Consultations

Norfolk County Council are currently running five consultations around specific savings proposals.

There are three from Community and Environmental Services. The proposals being consulted on are:

  1. The reduction of street lights across Norfolk in areas where this will be safe
  2. Increase offering of pre-booked visits and add new paid services to increase income at the Norfolk Record Office
  3. Reducing the opening hours at some recycling centres to deliver a more consistent approach, in line with neighbouring authorities

These consultations close at midnight on 22 March 2024.

They are also consulting on proposals affecting Adult Social Care, these are:

  1. Make some changes to the charging policy, which proposes reducing the Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG)
  2. Introducing an arrangement fee for people who self-fund their social care in line with Care Act 2014 guidance

These two consultations are open until midnight on 17 May 2024.
