Bird Flu update

There have been several outbreaks of the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 virus in Norfolk. Mandatory housing measures for all poultry and captive birds in Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Essex are now in place

Bird Flu - Regional Avian Influenza Prevention Zone declared in Norfolk

A Regional Avian Influenza Prevention Zone has been implemented applying to everyone who keeps poultry or captive birds, commercially or as pets, in Norfolk, Suffolk and parts of Essex.

The Regional Avian Influenza Prevention Zone means bird keepers across the county must follow biosecurity measures which are described in our documents section.
