Government consults on technical changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy
The Government has announced a consultation on technical changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy. These changes aim to reduce its complexity and increase its market responsiveness and transparency. While the proposed reforms do not affect how town and parish councils receive and use their share of any CIL funds, it is nevertheless of interest to US. Recycling – seasonal reminder
For information on the range of items that can be taken to recycling centres for free, and details of reuse shops - visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/recycling. Greetings cards, Christmas trees, unwanted or broken electrical items including Christmas lights, and excess cardboard and other materials can all be recycled. Section 137 spending limit for 2019/2020
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has advised that the appropriate sum for the purpose of section 137(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1972 for parish and town councils in England for 2019-20 is £8.12.
