Attention Norfolk Clerks – do you have CiLCA but no GPoC module?

If a clerk holds the old CiLCA, CiLCA 2008 or AQA then Learning Outcome 7 in the 2015 guide must be passed as a stand-alone module in order to exercise the General Power of Competence. The same applies if the clerk holds the tailored qualification from the University of Gloucestershire (but not AQA/CiLCA). This year, following ordinary elections, many councils will be able to consider their eligibility to adopt GPoC, but Clerk qualifications prior to CiLCA 2015 will need to be updated to include the module relating to the General Power prior to adoption. Contact our Training Officer now (email) to discuss the options available to update your CiLCA qualification.
