Local Council Meetings - Latest Update

Yesterday, the government published The Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020. National ALC has today launched two documents — a legal briefing note on their interpretation of the regulations and practical guidance for local councils on how to hold effective remote council meetings. NALC has also responded to the government, feeding back practical issues relating to the regulations – this information can be found in the engaging with government section on their web page.

Please continue to ensure you regularly visit the National ALC page: https://www.nalc.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Look out also for the next Norfolk ALC bulletin on Monday
