Role of the Clerk
This new and improved detailed course covers your role, the role of the Council and the Councillors as well as powers and duties, standing orders, meetings, finance, information management, planning, elections, casual vacancies and co-option and much more.

Preparing the file for Internal Auditor
A well-prepared file can save your council money and keep your internal auditor in a better mood! This course will explain how best to present your year-end file to the internal auditor, and why.

Preparing the AGAR
This course is exclusively for councils below the £200,000k receipts/payments limit. It is designed to equip new Clerks or those who have limited experience of year-end activities. The session will cover the reconciliation of the cashbook to the bank statements, completion of the AGAR form, (also known as the Annual Return), the Variance Analysis and everything you need to put on your website.
