Flood Action Week: Households Need To Know Their Flood Risk After 2023’s Record-breaking Weather

This Flood Action Week (20-26 November) the Environment Agency is urging people to prepare for increased weather extremes. Communities are advised to know their flood risk following this year’s record-breaking weather, most recently with Storms Babet and Ciaran. The average cost of flooding to a home is around £30,000 and the mental health impacts are long lasting, research shows.
