Coronavirus – Local, co-ordinated response in the Parishes of Loddon, Chedgrave, Hales & Heckingham and surrounding areas

At a very early stage (on 16th March), Councillor Jeremy Rowe united a small group of local people that included representatives from the different parish councils and South Norfolk District Council's Early Help Hub. The group of seven produced 4,000 leaflets, which were then distributed to every home across the area, as well as being given out at strategic points, for example outside the local Co-op... Blakeney has a super community; and once again it stepped up!

Blakeney has a super community; and once again it stepped up!

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the community came together and up sprung the Blakeney Covid-19 Support Group, initially instigated by a local resident and her niece and it soon snowballed. Before lockdown became what it is today the volunteers hit the ground and leaflet dropped the village, every road and loke so that people knew that there was help out there, when initially there was a food... Can we vote by proxy?

Can we vote by proxy?

Change in the 2020 Practitioner's Guide – recording of employment costs for the 2020/21 year

Para 2.16 of the latest 2020 JPAG Guide says staff costs for Line 4 now exclude mileage and other travelling and subsistence allowances, whereas the March 2019 Guide said to include such mileage and travel expenses here. With this change coming into effect in the 2020/21 AGAR, it might be a good idea to change the layout of your spread-sheet/cashbook at the start of the year so that you are recording... Read More »
