Sarah started doing some work for Norfolk ALC in the Autumn of 2019, when she ran a Neighbourhood Planning Awareness course. She then became the Coordinator for the New Clerks Mentoring Programme, which launched in February 2020. From 1 October 2020 her role has been extended to become our Training Support and Advice Officer as well as continuing with her Coordinator role and from 1 September 2021, Sarah has taken the lead role for organising our Training Programme.
Sarah is based in West Norfolk and currently works as a Parish Clerk/RFO for two small Parish Councils. Previously she has also worked for other small Parish Councils and one medium Parish Council. She is CiLCA qualified and is a Principal Member of the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) as well as being on the Executive Committee of the Norfolk Branch of SLCC, where she is the Deputy National Forum Representative. Sarah holds accounting qualifications and is a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT).
Sarah has been involved with Parish Councils since 2011 and whilst working in this role she was instrumental in helping one Council to adopt a Neighbourhood Plan and is currently working with another Council through the same process. She has also helped a Council achieve Quality status of the Local Council Award Scheme.
Previously she has worked for a bank and as a civil servant.
